Hernly Associates prepared the Historic Structure Report of the 1955 Santa Fe Station for the City of Lawrence in 2009. Conclusions from the report aided the City in preparing a Transportation Enhancement Grant application to the Kansas Department of Transportation. The Historic Structure Report provides an effective tool of preservation planning. It documents existing conditions, property development, appropriate treatment, significance of features, work recommendations, phasing priority, and probable construction cost.
