Screened-In Deck

This was a 324 square-foot screened deck addition for a single family home. The goal was to replace an outdoor patio with an indoor screened-in deck that connected to the house. The owners wanted a place that felt like the outdoors but was protected from bugs and weather.
A challenge of this project was to utilize the existing roof. The new deck roof overlapped the house roof and was designed as a shingle roof to align with the existing roof. The vaulted ceiling featured cedar double rafters and a ceiling fan. Cedar wrap posts and a vinyl interior siding system were included. A stone fireplace was designed. Wood-framed black aluminum vinyl screens were added. New gutters and downspouts were attached to existing ones. It was completed with warm finishes.
